South Africa Update: Monday, January 23

We're off to Greyton in just an hour. We catch a flight out of Johannesburg this morning to Cape Town. There we'll be met by Lydia's mom, Charlene. We pick up our car rental and follow Charlene to Greyton, which is about an hour and a half from Cape Town.

Yesterday was spent taking it easy in the morning and then visiting with Alan Muir and his family. We grilled out (South Africans call it a braai), had great wine and conversation while the little kids swam for most of the day. The following are a couple quick photos. One note: the plate full of meat (that's mine!) includes an ostrich steak. Yeah, that's right, ostrich. It was pretty good, too. And, no, it does not taste like chicken.

I may be off for a bit until we get set-up with internet access again. Until then, take care!
