South Africa Update: Thursday, January 26

The last few days have seen quite a bit of activity. We left Johannesburg on Monday and flew into Cape Town where we were greeted by Lydia's mom, Charlene. We picked-up our rental and followed her out of Cape Town to Greyton. It's a two hour drive that started at Sir Lowry's Pass over the mountains surrounding Cape Town. As we started our ascent we were greeted with seven different rainbows!

Once we got to Greyton we were greeted by Lydia's dad and their lovely new cottage. The following pictures are of the street Lydia's parents live on, the cottage and the front garden.

The following are some images of the little town or Greyton, South Africa. Lydia used to live here as a child and we also used to visit Greyton on weekends when we lived in Cape Town. It's pretty laid back and very picturesque.

Today we did about four hours of driving on our way to Plettenberg Bay. I was able to visit with a friend, Frank Muller. Frank and I used to work together when Lydia and I lived in Boem. Tonight we're staying overnight with some friends near George and then we move on to Plett to spend a week with David and Moira, who adopted us when we lived in Cape Town many years ago. Anyway, while Frank and I chatted about business and faith the kids took a swim in Victoria Bay.
